THE COLLECTION

The Wirkkala–Bryk Estate has been donated to the Tapio Wirkkala – Rut Bryk Foundation. It is a unique comprehensive and invaluable collection of universal importance, covering their entire artistic output throughout all the decades of their intense creative activity.

The collection comprises thousands of objects, prototypes, experimental pieces, products, photographs, unique artistic works and extensive documentation as well as a private collection of objects collected on their extensive travels.

The Foundation deposited its collection in EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art in 2011 and signed an agreement in 2015 to place the foundation’s collections in the WeeGee exhibition center with the city of Espoo and the Espoo Art Museum Foundation (EMMA). The internationally interesting and rare collection is permanently on display in the Bryk & Wirkkala viewing warehouse, which was opened in 2017.
